The Zeki Scrapbook Challenge

Hello Zeki shippers! It gives me great pleasure to announce Nostalgia’s First Official Competition!


DESCRIPTION

♘ A Zeki Scrapbook containing things that are only for the deviants to reveal …?

Basically, Yuuki or Zero makes a scrapbook for each other. The creative contents of the scrapbook are decided by the artists/deviants. It can contain pictures, short stories, comic strips, borders, etc. An example of an entry would be a page out of the scrapbook with a photograph pasted on it, along with interesting side notes or Yuuki’s doodles, etc. The theme is open and leaves room for a lot of creativity and artistic interpretation.


DEADLINE

STARTING DATE: Friday, June 15, 2012


ENDING DATE: Friday, July 27, 2012.

The competition duration is approximately 6 weeks.

*Note: A 2 week extension might be granted if more than half of the competitors have incomplete submissions around the initial competition deadline.


PRIZES

3 prizes will be given for first, second, and third place winners. The prizes vary depending on participation.

*Note: All winners will get features and llama badges from =PandaberryCupcakes and *MissAnthropoid + a feature in our Group’s Gallery.

*Note: Deviants are encouraged to contribute towards the prizes. Please leave a comment or send us a “note” if you are interested. Any form of contribution is highly appreciated. Deviants who donate prizes can still participate in the competition regardless


PARTICIPATION

The Zeki Scrapbook Challenge Competition is only open to members of Nostalgia. If you are not a member of Nostalgia but would like to participate, simply join Nostalgia.


RULES

Submissions must be original and originate solely from the  deviant/artist. Copied or stolen work will be disqualified. Referencing for submissions is only permitted “if” designated.

*Note: Competitors should likely receive consent to reference “if” possible.

Only the artwork created solely for the competition is acceptable for submission. So please create fresh entries for the contest.

The submission must be relevant to the theme and focus on Zeki.

Each deviant is allowed to submit a maximum of two entries.

Submissions must adhere to the compatible image or deviation file format specified (i.e. JPG, PNG, or GIF, and/or written, drawn, or animated).

*Note: Please check submitted files for viruses before submission. Corruptive files could compromise the competition.

Use of bases is allowed but deviants are required to credit all respective parties in the artist descriptions of their submissions.

Submissions should be completed and adhere to the concept or context stipulated within the competition. Incomplete submissions will be disqualified.

Submissions should be appropriate. Inappropriate (i.e. objectionable or offensive) submissions will be disqualified, a right reserved by the Nostalgia Crew in their sole discretion.

Competitors should practice decorum. Derogatory, degrading, disrespectful, or defamatory comments or commentary toward other competitors and submissions are prohibited and punishable.

Cheating is disgraceful, thus voting will be monitored extensively to circumvent any unfair practices. Suspected cheaters’ submissions will be subjected to re-review by the Nostalgia Crew. Cheaters will be disqualified if caught.

-Please “note” Nostalgia for competition queries. Confidentiality will be exercised.


SUBMISSIONS

Competition submissions for The Zeki Scrapbook Challenge should be submitted to the Competition Entries Folder on Nostalgia. All forms of deviations (i.e. art, literature, cosplay etc) are allowed to be submitted for The Zeki Scrapbook Challenge Competition.


JUDGING  

Judging is based on two criteria:
I. Poll Voting by deviants
II. Judging by a panel of selected judges

Both criteria hold equal (50/50) weighting towards the final decision. After the competition is closed, the entries will be put up for public voting for approximately two weeks. The panel will be working on their decisions in the meanwhile. A judging panel ensures that each competitor’s submission gets equal “artistic” consideration, and is an attempt to circumvent cheating.

Panel of Judges:


Cap Limit: Nostalgia are accepting 6 volunteer deviants for the judging panel portion of voting/judging process for the competition.

Criteria: Volunteers must meet the following criteria: all potential volunteers must be members of Nostalgia; all possible volunteers must have some artistic talent or judging experience; and fulfill their judging obligations responsibly and objectively by completing all of the portions required for each submission.

*Note: If you would like to volunteer to be a judge on the panel, please contact us via note. Please be mindful that judges cannot participate in the competition. The 6 selected judges will each receive a stipend of 50 for their services.


WINNERS

Competition winners will be announced via Journal Entry on Nostalgia. All winners’ prizes (except for drawing requests which might take longer) will be distributed within 3 days after the Official Winners’ Announcement JE is posted. Each of the three winners will receive their respective prizes (i.e. the 1st place winner will receive the first place prize).  No adjustments will be made to prizes.


PROMOTION

Since the prizes depend on the number of participants, we encourage all deviants to help us promote our first official competition. Deviants can promote by placing our competition advertisements on their D.A. pages and/or in their signatures.

All deviants who advertise us through a Journal Entry and/or Signature will automatically receive 30 and 20 respectively courtesy of Nostalgia.

All promoters will be automatically entered into a Grand Prize Drawing. One selected promoter will receive 150 + a llama badge.
